About the Owner
Pederson Hill has been Bobbi's home for over 50 years! She is a third-generation Juneauite and has been growing vegetables and flowers for herself and her family for decades. Pederson Hill has a dairy and farming history that dates back to the early 1900's that distant relatives owned and operated. In the spring of 2022, she visited the Skagit Valley, WA tulip fields and fell in love with the idea of creating a retail flower farm in Juneau. Of course, Juneau's rainforest weather is not exactly ideal for flower growing, but greenhouses took care of that issue. That summer Bobbi and her husband James started landscaping and building 5 raised-bed greenhouses, with plans to build 4 more in the spring of 2023. They converted the old barn into a walk-in cool room, work area, and storage facility. In the summer of 2024, they build 4 more greenhouses and the gazebo. Every fall Bobbi plants around 3,000 tulip bulbs, and every spring she receives over 10,000 plants for the garden and to sell. Bobbi invites you to come visit Pederson Hill Farm!
Proper Flower Care
To keep your beautiful flowers lasting longer, you should frequently replenish the water and change it completely every 3 days. Whenever you change the water, trim the stems about half an inch. Make sure to keep your flowers away from too much heat. Stick to these tips and your arrangements will elicit “oohs” and “aahs” for days to come!
The Florist’s Mission
It is our mission to create an eco-friendly flower farm where visitors can create their perfect bouquet, enjoy nature and participate in an outdoor social activity available to everyone.
